Meet Dr Jessica Tong
Dr Tong is an Ophthalmologist who specialises and practises exclusively in the field of Oculoplastic and Orbital surgery.
She is a Visiting Medical Officer at Sydney Eye Hospital in the Oculoplastic Unit.
Dr Tong graduated from her medical degree with honours from the University of New South Wales. She has a Masters of Medicine (Ophthalmic Sciences) from the University of Sydney and finished Ophthalmology Training through the Sydney Eye Hospital Network.
She then completed a world renowned 2 year Oculoplastic, Lacrimal and Orbital fellowship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital under the tutelage of Professor Dinesh Selva AM. During this time, she developed expertise in the medical and surgical management of complex eyelid, lacrimal and orbital conditions. She also has a special interest in endoscopic orbital surgery.
Dr Tong has a strong academic interest with over 70 publications and $150,000+ in research grants and trial funding. She is currently completing a PhD on the topic of ‘Transorbital Endoscopic Approaches’ supervised by Professor Dinesh Selva and Professor Alkis Psaltis.
